Chantry Outreach & Participation
"What Pimlico, through choreographers Paul Chantry and Rae Piper, have teased out of the 17 law-breaker performers, some of whom will never have been in a theatre before, is quite extraordinary."
Jeremy Chapman - Musical Theatre Review on 'Sister Act' for Pimlico Opera at HMP Bronzefield
Our Outreach & Participation work currently has 5 strands:
1) Workshop Programme: we take dance and theatre workshops all over the UK to a huge variety of age and ability groups. This programme is run through our dedicated education department, Chantry School
2) Behind the Scenes Programme: open to all the community, come and visit the company to watch rehearsals and take a glimpse behind the scenes into the life of a professional dancer
3) Dance Anywhere Programme: we take adapted performances and dance participation opportunities to those people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to see it, which specifically includes the elderly and sick who are resident in care homes, hospitals and also those in prison
4) Artsmark Programme for Schools: as Artsmark partners we can support your school in your Artsmark journey in meeting some of your Artsmark criteria requirements
5) Young Dancers Celebration: we invite young dancers to take part in performance opportunities such as performing at Curtain Raisers on tour with the company
