The Imprisoned Moon

Lincolnshire is a county of marshy fen land, smooth fields, blessed with a rich heritage of intriguing folk stories and legends.
Using contemporary dance, circus and spoken word to bring one of these wonderful tales to life, Chantry Dance conducted an R&D period in May 2021 to create The Imprisoned Moon.
Four sharings of the work were performed at Arts About Town in Grantham and Stamford.
Four sharings also took place for the residents of Barchester Maple Leaf Lodge and Barchester Newton House Care Home.
Alongside this, Chantry delivered workshops inspired by the natural environment for Origins Youth Company dancers leading to a sharing of their work at Arts About Town (Grantham).
